If you know me, you know that I have a problem with keeping anything looking new. I lose things, I drop things, I destroy things; my boyfriend will never admit it but I know secretly he’s afraid to buy me anything remotely expensive for fear I will manage to lose its value in about 15 minutes. This is why Boxwave.com is my savior. Basically, they sell hard/soft cases and accessories for just about any tech toy you can imagine.
When I first jumped on the Blackberry wagon I wanted to get a good screen protector. I’ve seen flimsy screen protectors that are impossible to place on the screen without creating a bubble or a wrinkle. I also noticed that a lot of generic protectors tend to come off easily. The Boxwave Cleartouch Crystal Screen Protector is awesome. It has a stiffer feel, and it goes on so smooth that you can’t even tell its there. I showed it off to coworkers, and 3 people rushed to order it on the same day. <sarcasm> Seriously, they all wanted to be like me. The cool thing is that they have Cleartouch screen protectors for many other phones, so you can be like me too </sarcasm>.
Nothing lasts forever, and nobody will agree more than a Blackberry user on the battery life of their phone (I charge mine every night). The Versacharger Pro acts as a car charger AND a normal wall charger - it really is the only one you’ll ever need!. More than once I ran out of batteries and had to run to the car to grab my charger, then watch everyone’s expression change from a confused look to a chorus of oohs and ahhs when I pull out the wall plug. They were so jealous.
Months later, I found myself back on boxwave.com to find accessories for two new toys. I received a Nintendo DS for Christmas and a 3rd generation Nano for my birthday, and they are my current obsessions. In yesterday’s shopping cart I had:
Cleartouch screen protector for my DS Lite
Flexi skin for my DS Lite
Active case for my Ipod Nano
Cleartouch protector for my Ipod Nano
Now, if only they sold Cleartouch protectors for shoes, I wouldn’t shred all my heels in less than a month!

My brother and I used a guinea pig to test out the Irish Accent spray.
“Irish accent, testing 1″
“I don’t think it works… I’m pretty sure that it’s just a peppermint spray…”
“Yes, its just a peppermint spray…”
“Sorry, you just spent four dollars on a… on a breath mint.”
“It’s good though.”
(Sorry scubasteve for taking FOREVER to post this! I’ve just been so busy. I’m even more sorry that I actually thought a breath spray would produce an Irish Accent. hahahaha)

Ninja Sword Ear Cleaner.
I know. When I first saw it, I thought the same thing you are thinking now - I must have this sword. How cool is this? It’s a Ninja Sword, but it kicks the shit out of your ear wax. Genius.

Natural Wave Ceramic Radiator Plate.
One of the first things I notice about most NYC apartments is that annoying, screechy radiator. It’s loud, way too hot, and makes the air incredibly dry. But I don’t think I’d mind it as much if I had one of these things on top of it. In fact, if I had one of these things I’d probably live in an apartment that had a radiator just to use it! But alas, this is only a concept design and not (yet) for sale.

Yoda Backpack.
The Force is strong in those who have the guts to carry around this Yoda backpack in public. But I’ll bet my lightsaber that you secretly want to buy it!

Thumb Thing.
Yes, it’s really called the “Thumb Thing”, and its brilliant. I don’t know about you, but I never knew I needed this to survive until this very moment. It makes a cute little gift for bookworms.

Instant Irish Accent.
When I first saw this, I was sure it was some kind of a joke. But it seems to be a real breath spray that gives you an instant Irish Accent. Curiosity got the best of me, and now I’m going to have an accent in 3-5 business days.

I can’t tell you how much I adore my Blackberry Curve. I thought the novelty would wear off after a while, but no. I still sleep with it delicately placed on my pillow next to my head so that it’s the last thing I see before I go to bed and the and first thing I see when I wake up in the morning (just kidding - or not).
I really have no complaints at all about my phone or the AT&T service (former long time Verizon customer), but the one thing that really bothered me was the fact that the Curve was very limited in alarm functionality. My old phone allowed three alarms which I used for various things (I’m a snooze fiend, and I need reminders for everything). The Blackberry only allows one alarm to be set at one time, which really annoyed me.
I tried to live with it at first. I used my old phone just for the alarm and it was bearable. But then I ended up giving it to a friend who recently lost hers. Before long, this one alarm business was driving me crazy and I couldn’t take it anymore. I searched high and low (actually, just Googled “multiple alarms for my blackberry please God don’t fail me I am desperate“) and found Mobylo! MultiAlarm, a multiple alarm application that you can download. The cost was 30 dollars, but they did offer a 30 day trial period.
I thought, why not? I have nothing to lose. I went ahead and downloaded the trial version - and after two hours of fiddling around with it, ended up paying the 30 dollars in order to keep it. I loved it that much!
If you are a Blackberry user and have thought more than once that this world would be a much better place, a place worth living for if you had multiple alarms on your Blackberry, check out the links below.
